Website Design and Development Visions
- What is dmDesign Up to Now? - Lead Design Visionary, David DeBlaiso, just finished a complete re-design of Norton Supply Co.'s full E-Commerce and interactive user website.
The site went live July 11, 2008. And is already showing an increase in online sales for the company as well as an average user time on the site of over 3 and a half minutes.
The new user interactive site includes many elements of Flash, html and a complete data-base system put together in collaboration with Activant Business Solutions.
It also, includes a custom user forum, You Tube embedded custom Video Channels, a virtual online version of our dmDesign Envisioned and Produced 56 page product catalog, that also circulates to 36,000 nation-wide coin laundry locations, and a full e-commerce end-user interface!
In addition we are currently working on completing the Fall 2008 product catalog for Norton Supply and taking the catalog game to a new company level. We are now editing images taken during last weeks model photo shoot at a brand new laundromat, so that the viewer will enjoy new imagery and see the products being used in their end environment.

- Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Corporate Headquarters, Boston, MA - Project: Work with 7 other designers and developers under the direction of a project manager and the head of online marketing for Liberty Mutual Insurance, to ensure that the new website design standards for the company were met on schedule and to the marketing specifications.
Learning Everyday: As lead design visionary for dmDesign, I was able to use this opportunity to understand how others manage a team with different skill levels and talents.
Breaking Through: When presented with a task to update the "Locate an Agent" map page, I asked if it would make sense to make the map interactive so that it might be a better User Interactive tool than a static image. Using flash I created image maps with very specific co-ordinated to allow for a mouse-hover effect on the different regions of the map.
Overall Experience: We had a blast at Liberty Mutual, the team was great, they were helpful, knowledgeable and our team leaders and managers worked well with everyone and understood how to delegate appropriate tasks to individual's skill and knowledge levels.
- Fast Glass Service Inc. - Fast Glass Service came to us looking for a clean, professional website that would keep the focus on their work while enriching the users web experience as well. - Eagle Brook Saloon Restaraunt - Designed and developed the online branding, marketing, and overall web presence for Eagle Brook Saloon Restaraunt and Bar, coining the slogan, Wester Appeal for All, set in historic Norfolk, MA.
The site includes, by owner request, 12 unique menu pages, a unique backdrop, that remains standard throughout the site. Along with many extras that dmDesign have become our niche. Including flash elements of imagery taken with our high resolution Olympus digital camera. Clear, strategic imagery that highlights the old west, as it meets modern technology with HDTV screens for viewing pleasure. We also developed a concept coined, Saloon Gear. An online store that aims to bring customers in not only for the wide range of fresh brewed in-house selections found only at Eagle Brook Saloon; but dmDesign has also offered users a chance to preview the merchandise accompanying the uniquely branded beverage logos, such as Dog's Breathe t-shirts and sweatshirts. This idea increased publicity to the Bar via a product that already makes the company money upon purchase.
Our 14 menu pages make it easy to decide what you and your date/wife/lover would like to order before even getting into your car.
The site is powered by New England's largest database of restaurant, function halls and the like using diningquest.com's user friendly interface. So that you can find the website via the link above or at diningquest.com anytime, allowing for double Search Engine Optimization abilities.

Users can book functions easily with the contact feature that includes a drop down list of options to choose from in order to streamline the content sent back to the user.
