June 2008 was an extremely successful month, as I was able to work with a team of 7 other designers and developers under the guidance and direction of Liberty Mutuals' marketing and internet production leaders to implement a wide range of features within the Liberty Mutual Corporate Resource website.
The site is vast, yet consistent in it's content and design. As a team we were able to accomplish the content transfer and complete redesign on schedule by having been assigned various sections in which we would be responsible for; my personal responsibility was to ensure that the Insurance For Businesses Section and the some 30 internal and a total of over 75 combined internal and external links followed the proper design guidelines.
As one of the only Flash, and action script enabled designer and developer on hand, Liberty Mutual also allowed me to run with an idea to transform a static map image of their various "independent agents" to be interactive with rollover effects and click-enabled regions linking to the proper United States Liberty Mutual affiliated websites.
The most challenging aspect of this project was to ensure that our team html and java-script codes would be able to be processed by the infrastructure already in place.
Also, because in the end this site would be a non-technical user enabled editable website using a simply notepad (widget) editing tool for managers and other non-tech professionals we had to ensure that any changes made down the line to the body text on the front end would not effect the back end div, tables, and more complicated java and alignment scripting involved.
The team worked fluently and professionally under the management of our highly energetic and enthusiastically involved supervisors.
- Eagle Brook Saloon Restaraunt - A website designed and coded by DmDesign and powered by DiningQuest.com, this project includes 11 distinct menu pages and 5 main navigational links. The idea was to capture the western style that a customer visiting the restaurant would experience upon visiting Eagle Brook Saloon.
- M. Kenney Landscaping - A landscaping complete website design and development job that DmDesign had a blast working on! The client wanted something simple yet a site that would keep the focus on his work while holding the users attention.
- Fast Glass Service Inc. - Fast Glass Service came to us looking for a clean, professional website that would keep the focus on their work while enriching the users web experience as well. According to the Fast Glass owner "dmDesign delivered", take a look at FastGlass.info for yourself and let us know what you think in our user comments section.
- Alternative Rock Band's Myspace Page - Worked directly with the band to develop a MySpace.com music profile page that will give them the professional appeal they need in order to get signed. Tasks included..
Designing, coding, developing the web-page and working with one of the many freelance artists I will call on occasion, Mike Hseuh. He is an incredible free-hand artist.
